We set a new record since the pandemic with seventeen players making it out for May’s monthly event. We welcomed back seasoned veterans and a new player who’d dug up his old cards from his parents’ basement.

Terribly sorry for the late event summary. I’m a terrible procrastinator. Twelve people rocked out for the February monthly at our usual location, the Royal Oak.
We had 40 players joined us for the first ever ChaosCon. 39 players played 5 rounds of Old School (Boreal banlist) and 22 played 4 rounds of Premodern.
We had participants join us from Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa Valley, and had the chance to meet several Ottawans who’d never played Old School before.
The event sent $2,553.46 for the Ottawa Food Bank. With their purchasing power, this means feeding almost 15 families of 4 for a month.

Join us November 19, 2022 for a day of Old School and Premodern in Canada’s capital, Ottawa. As is tradition, all entry fees and money raised will go to our community’s preferred charity, Ottawa Food Bank.
In this guide, I will walk through the basics of the Green/White Treshgeddon (Threshold Armageddon) deck in Premodern. Premodern is a casual format spanning Fourth Edition through Scourge, and features a banlist that sets it apart from existing formats.
In the last two weeks of Feburary 2022, 56 players gathered to play 5 webcam matches of Magic. These players represented 6 Old School communities across Canada, and a group of Outsiders looking to defeat the Canadians for their Cup.
Congratulations to the winning community, Quebec City Brew Crew, who selected Le Pignon Bleu (The Blue Gable) to receive the $1,234 raised. Le Pignon Bleu helps less fortunate families in the Quebec region.
With everything happening with Omicron, how about another Boreal Community Cup to keep our minds off things, and to bring the Canadian communities together? And by that, we mean pitting Canada’s Old School communities against each other, all to benefit charity!
