July 2024 Monthly – Event

We’re back to Boreal in July. The Tyler Childers concert at Bluesfest didn’t keep these 14 wizards from battling it out at the Royal Oak.

We were lucky enough to have Alistair, an Old Schooler from Toronto, join us for the evening.

Alistair learned quickly that we don’t mess around in Ottawa. Quite a few people switched from their tried-and-true decks with quite a few mono-colored decks. Green was the colour to beat on Friday night.

Both undefeated, Jimmy and Andy were 3-0 (and undefeated in games) going into Round 4, as Andy’s aggro deck faces off against Jimmy’s The Deck.

Jimmy sweeps the finals and finishes with a clean 4-0 (8-0) record. His years’ worth of experience piloting The Deck pay off. Congratulations Jimmy!
